Dog My Cat Records was established in 2004 by acoustic blues sensation Harry Manx and long-time producer Jordy Sharp. Non-genre based, the label is now home to some of the most uniquely talented musicians from its home base of British Columbia to artists from around the globe. With numerous awards and nominations under our belt and a budding roster of new artists and new albums, you'll want to check back often. GOINGS ON ...Harry Manx has just released a "Best Of" collection entitled "Isle of Manx". The album contains 15 choice tracks from five of his albums (thirteen originals and two cover tunes) and is available at stores across Canada, on Amazon, via CD Babyy, on Harry's website , and of course here. The prolific Mr. Manx has created a new CD with eclectic guitar wonder Kevin Breit , titled "Strictly Whatever", to be released on Stony Plain Records on May 24th This month Harry plays a series of shows with David Lindley (of Jackson Browne fame) and three Midwestern shows before returning to the Pacific Northwest to play Mount Vernon, WA on the 29th. May finds Harry in Fort St. John, Grande Prairie and Athabasca, May 17th through May 19th. Harry is also playing the Silver City Blues Festival on May 29th. Yeshe has released a new CD, "Roots and Wings", on his own label in Australia and on Dog My Cat Records in Canada. The CD will be available here soon ... Jaime RT (now officially known as Zav RT) is doing a series of house concerts and some workshops in the Yukon with her brother and fellow fiddler Daniel Huscroft. Steve Marriner , who won this year's Maple Blues Award for Harmonica Player of the Year, continues to tour with his band MonkeyJunk.
